She told the emergency services that arrived at the man’s home on Thursday night that her son had no girlfriend and was “bored” because he stayed at home during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The mother said: “My son is a private person, he has no girlfriend. During the pandemic, he stayed at home a lot because he was worried about going outside.
“He told me that he did it because he was bored and he likes to stick his ‘thing’ into little holes. I was angry with him for embarrassing me so much and told him not to do it again. “
Rescue Officer Tongchai Donson said they received an emergency call, but the injury was “worse than they expected,” and they had to rush the man, whose name they didn’t give, to a nearby hospital.
The medics spent over 30 minutes using an electric cutter to cut through the metal lock. They insert a thin sheet of metal between the barbell and the man’s skin to prevent cuts, and spray water on his body for lubrication.
The man’s embarrassed mother told doctors that her son had no girlfriend and was “bored” because he was sitting at home during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Once it was released, they added an antibiotic cream and gave the man penicillin pills.
Despite the fact that his penis has now been released, doctors said it could be permanent damage due to the lock being stuck for a long time. His penis was also disfigured by the ordeal.
Tongchai added, “We received an emergency call and did not know all the details, so we were surprised when we arrived. It was worse than we thought. If the lock were kept for longer, the infection could be so severe that his penis would start to rot and get gangrene.
“In the hospital, he was in pain and screamed so loudly because he was so swollen. Removing the metal was very difficult.
“We cannot tell the name of this person, but we want the news to become public, so that other people do not commit such actions. It can be very dangerous and damage the body. “
